Outdoors Cards and Fishing Licenses Via Internet
Residents and non-resident anglers are now able to purchase Ontario Outdoors Cards and Fishing Licences from home, using the Internet or the automated toll-free phone system. As of January 1, 2009 an Outdoors Card is now required to purchase an Ontario fishing licence (except for a 1-Day Fishing License). An Outdoors Card can be purchased online (click here for the MNR Store) or by phone 1-800-667-1940 at the cost of $CDN 9.00 for 3 years. You can save precious time by getting your licenses (both Outdoors and Fishing Licenses) through the mail prior your fishing trip. A temporary Outdoors card (paper) will initially be issued to you. You hold on to this license until you receive your valid Outdoors Card (plastic).
A complete and valid licence to fish consists of an Outdoors Card PLUS a valid Ontario fishing licence tag affix. An Outdoors Card alone is NOT a fishing licence. The fishing license can also be purchased at the MNR Store. The annual fees for a conservation fishing license are listed below:

IMPORTANT NOTE: On July 1st, 2010, the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) for the Province of Ontario will come into effect. The 13% HST will apply to the period that occurs on or after July 1, 2010. For this reason, the rates quoted on your confirmation letters may change. In an effort to help out with the new tax portion applied on your fishing trip, Stantonair will invoice earlier this year to give you the chance to pay the balance owing on your trip before May 30th, 2010. That way, only the 5% GST will be applied to your trip even if you are planning to go in July, August or September, 2010.
These rates include flights TO / FROM your lake, a fully-furnished cabin (except Eastern), all camp equipment, propane supply (fridge, stove, oven, lights & BBQ), running water, boats / outboards / pre-mixed gas, canoe (Boleau, Wolf, Snake, Boleau & Victoria). |
